Mission Statement

STAR Exeter aims to provide quality training to equip its students with the skills and knowledge they need to work towards their goals and develop their interests and personalities. We aim to promote a positive view of our country, while fostering respect and understanding among our students who are using English for international communication. We endeavour to maintain high standards of student welfare and to support staff in their personal and professional development. We also provide an International Foundation Programme (IFP) for students wishing to gain places at UK universties.

Equal Opportunities
STAR Exeter recognises that society unfairly discriminates against certain groups and individuals and that this causes inequality and disadvantage. Our aim is to promote equality and to reflect the diversity found within society.

We are committed to equality on the grounds of:

  • sex
  • race
  • ethnic origin
  • national origin
  • disability
  • sexuality
  • religious belief
  • political opinion
  • age
  • marital status
  • economic status
  • social background

We will not discriminate against anyone within the STAR Exeter organisation or attending any of our centres on these grounds. Our equal opportunities policy applies to job applicants, staff and students alike. Furthermore, we will oppose harassment, victimisation and prejudice against anyone within or in contact with the STAR Exeter. We will also endeavour to work towards equal access to all our centres.
