We believe that the success of any language school is highly dependent upon the strengths of its staff and teachers. The STAR Exeter team are all experienced in dealing with international students’ needs, as well as teach English Language to a high standard.
STAR Exeter teachers are all native-level English speakers who are either local to the area or from further afield. Our teachers are required to hold an internationally recognised Cambridge English CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) or Delta (Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) qualification (or equivalent). All of our teachers are friendly, mature, well-educated and energetic, who engage with students on a familiar and individual basis. We believe incorporating communicative language teaching methodology and adapting lessons for our students’ individual needs is crucial. Our teachers are paramount to the success of our students and are key to the successful provision of our curriculum.
We encourage individual teacher and student integration both inside and outside of the classroom and as such teachers are very much involved in day-to-day school activities and frequently accompany students on school social activities.
Our Director, Student Expirence Manager and Student Support Adminastrator are also an integral part of our team who assist in the every day running of the school. They organise events and social excursions, accommodation, travel and tickets, visas and each students’ overall welfare.
